Great beach and nearby activities. Shops in the centre of the town have tourist pricing, but reasonable just a bit further out. A lot of old british retirees, hard to tell what the vibe is usually as currently there aren't too many tourists due to corona, but doesn't strike me as a party town. |

Kathmandu - really fun, but very dusty Bhaktapur - only got to spend one day but it was great, wish I had more time there Pokhara - great place to relax between treks in the Annapurna area Treks: -Annapurna circuit: most diverse, its a big loop so you don't re-tread the same paths -Annapurna Base Camp: great view at the camp itself at the end, but overall not many views, a lot of up-and-down-again-and-again hiking. -Mardi Himal: great views above the clouds, short and sweet -Gokyo: incredible views, not super touristy, highly recommend! -Everest base camp: super touristy, if you're short on time I'd do Gokyo Ri, but they can be combined into one! General tips: You definitely don't need a guide/porter, don't overpack, having at least one hiking pole is a good idea even if you don't feel like you need it, limping down a mountain 4 days away from civilization is not fun. Toilet paper is currency. And snickers. Glad to share more in depth tips, message me! |

This city is not for everyone, if you like shopping malls and big crowded cities it is for you. It may be cheap but if you want to live in a good location with swimming pool, go to nice rooftops and restaurants, use taxis then it is similar cost to western countries. In many areas there are no sidewalks, big and dangerous traffic all the time, pollution, taxis do not want to go with meter, it can get really hot. Definitely try to live by the metro. Many foreigners, mostly friendly people, cheap

I don't understand why London has so high safety rating. Your phone could be stolen and your bicycle WILL be stolen here (or a part of it). I live here 8.5 years and I experienced the above multiple times. Police seems only cares about crime against person by whatever reason. Insure everything expensive that you own. I would also add that antisocial behaviour is quite common here and teenagers are heavily involved in crimes as police don't do anything with them because of their age. Basically th
